New Sentinel Outside Weatherable Series
Solar Gard® recently introduced the Sentinel™ OSW films, Silver 20 and 35, both of which are 50 micron (2 mil). Now, we have added to the family with a new 100 micron (4 Mil) safety film, the Sentinel 4 Mil Clear. The Sentinel films offer fantastic weatherability and therefore carry a 5 year vertical warranty and a 2 year sloped warranty. All of the new Sentinel OSW films are available in both 152.4 cm (60”) and 182.9 cm (72”) roll widths. The Sentinel Silver 35 OSW is particularly exciting because it is a new VLT for the Solar Gard OSW offering.
The Solar Gard Sentinel series of Silver 20 and 35 OSW films are designed to be an external sentry for buildings, protecting them from high levels of heat, glare, and UV. The Sentinel Silver 20 and 35 OSW films deliver high solar performance in an optically clear film for situations where indoor film shouldn’t or couldn’t be applied. Sentinel 4 Mil clear adds a safety dimension, protecting the building from the dangers of broken glass in an optically clear film.
Solar Gard Sentinel Series films are an ideal solution for the following customer needs:
- Glazing with low-e coatings, especially when the coating is on surface number 3 in a double-glazing application.
- Structures with double-glazing and/or absorbing glazing (double-pane, laminated, tinted, etc.) glass where traditional film applications present significant risks for glass stress and breakage, and cannot be applied safely.
- Structures where indoor accessibility is limited or unavailable. External applications do not require disturbance of occupants.
